Albert Bogdan is a dynamic leader with over 50 years of experience in community and economic development, real estate, land use, and finance. He is considered an expert in federal and state programs and has successfully managed development projects using public-private partnerships. As Wayne County Housing Director, he organized and prepared applications to obtain the first Michigan New Markets Tax credit allocation for a total of $27 million invested in four Wayne County projects. Bogdan also organized a financing program to resolve a 35-year-old eminent domain lawsuit against the City of Hamtramck, Michigan by building 200 units of affordable housing. As Detroit Regional Director for the Michigan Office of Economic Development, he formed a partnership with the City of Detroit Planning Department and worked with Mayor Young,  Governor Milliken, Henry Ford II, and GM’s Francis X. Murphy to build the $1.5 billion Poletown auto assembly plant. Currently, as President of AAB Development Strategies, he serves as the Chief Business Development Officer of the Michigan Magnet Fund and has managed the investment of over $145 million in multiple projects across the State of Michigan.

Charisse L. Heath is a seasoned lawyer and member of the faculty and Director of the Academic Success Program at the University of Tennessee College of Law in Knoxville, Tennessee. Professor Heath has extensive corporate, commercial, and transactional experience, having worked with the law firms of Reavis and McGrath (now Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP) and Zimet, Haines, Moss and Friedman in New York.  She also worked with Ciba-Geigy Corporation (now, Novartis Corporation),

a multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company; the Detroit Medical Center; and GMAC LLC (now, Ally Financial Inc.).  Professor Heath was also a member of the faculty at Saint Louis University School of Law and was the Assistant Dean of Academic Success and Bar Preparation at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.

Florise R. Neville-Ewell is a seasoned lawyer, academic, and pro bono advocate. She currently teaches property, ethics, and contracts at Western Michigan University-Cooley Law School. Prior to becoming an academic, Professor Neville-Ewell practiced law in the private and public sectors. Immediately after clerking for the Honorable Julian A. Cook, Jr., in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, she was an associate at Sidley, Austin LLP in Chicago, Illinois and Honigman LLP in Detroit, Michigan. Thereafter, in the public sector, she was General Counsel for the Detroit Housing Commission and Chief of Contracts for the City of Detroit. Through those public and private practice experiences, Professor Neville-Ewell has expertise in resolving matters related to commercial contracts, residential and commercial financing, commercial, municipal, and residential housing development, generally, and affordable housing, in particular. In conjunction with clerking, practicing law, and teaching, Professor Neville-Ewell has simultaneously been dedicated to educating the public about legal issues. Prior to establishing the 10CORE® Law Society, she hosted cable and radio programs, was a special columnist for the Michigan Chronicle newspaper, and a ghost writer for the former Charter One Bank. Along with establishing the 10CORE Law Society, those platforms have enabled Professor Neville-Ewell to act as a catalyst to promote what she calls “housing literacy.” Although she has received awards and acknowledgments, the most recent one named her a ”Fellow” of the American Bar Foundation (ABF), a “global honor society.” Membership in the ABF is only available to “one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction.”

Judge David A. Perkins is a dedicated Probate Court Judge in Wayne County, Michigan. A former 36th District Court Judge, he also served as a  Wayne County Juvenile Court Referee and Magistrate for the 30th District Court. He was also a Judge Advocate for the Michigan National Guard and currently works as an adjunct professor at Wayne County Community College. An active member of the Bar, Judge Perkins is a member of the Board of Commissioners for the State Bar of Michigan. He is also a member of the Judicial Division of the American Bar Association (ABA) and has chaired many  committees, including  “The Coalition on Racial and Ethnic Justice” and others for the Michigan Young Lawyers for the ABA and State Bar of Michigan, respectively. A respected leader in the community, he is also a Past President of the Association of Black Judges of Michigan and The D. Augustus Straker Bar Association. A lifetime member of the NAACP, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, and the Detroit Chapter of the Tuskegee Airmen. Judge Perkins also serves on the Board of Directors for the Wayne County Dispute Resolution Center; The Black United Fund of Michigan, the Reggie McKenzie Foundation, and is a lay minister for his church. Judge Perkins has been actively involved with many community and labor groups and has received numerous awards for his community work.
